| A Glaze Hydrometer measures the viscosity – ratio of the mass of a material to that of an equal mass of water. This tool is 5” in length. It has a glass casing with a scale reading inside. The Hydrometer is a useful tool to help in achieving the proper thickness of glaze and slip. Invaluable to enable easy repetition of optimum glaze consistency from one batch to another. To use, place the hydrometer in the container where it will float like a buoy, and the meter can be read. |
